The Gurdjieff Foundation of New Zealand was established in Auckland in 1990 and remains in close touch with other main centres of Gurdjieff's teaching in Sydney and New York.
The most important aspect of the G. I. Gurdjieff teaching is the direct contact with others, experienced within a group. We have groups in Auckland and Nelson, where we meet weekly to explore Gurdjieff's ideas and to practise these ideas in the conditions of everyday life.
We host gatherings in Auckland, which are attended by senior people from Sydney, New York and London and which involve sittings, music, movements, and group activities.
We have a new group open for those wishing to begin on this path.
