The Sydney branch of the Gurdjieff Society of Australia was established in the 1950s and
works in a direct line of transmission with the Gurdjieff Foundation of New York and the
Gurdjieff Society of London.
Over the years, the group has been nourished by the care and wisdom of people such as Stanley Nott,
Dorothy Darlington, George and Helen Adie, and James Wyckoff. The group has taken various forms at different times.
At present, our main centre of activity is in the suburb of Hunters Hill. We explore the ideas
and practices of the Gurdjieff teaching through regular group meetings, movements,
practical work, meditation (sittings) and retreats.
News: A new group is open for people who wish to participate in practical work.
